Passages "Passages is the only Youth program in Kansas City solely dedicated to helping young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth have a safe and hate-free environment where they can come to terms with their orientation and to potentially even come out. Through weekly educational programs and activities, Passages creates social support networks that nurture and develop healthy and empowered LGBT youth. These programs form a foundation of vital resources that provide these youth with alternatives to risk-taking behavior. For nearly 20 years, Passages has helped encourage youth to grow and develop in a drug-free, alcohol-free, and hate-free environment, and to continue to support them as they discover who they are, no matter what orientation or gender they might be. Thousands of youth have passed through our doors over the years, and we continue to look forward to helping support Kansas City's GLBT (and straight) youth." |
